When we set out to develop our range of direct drive wheelbases, we wanted to develop the best sim racing wheelbases on the market measured on all parameters but without breaking the bank. We had greater aspirations than just reselling a standard industrial servo motor and then trying to adapt everything else around it. It was a tough task but like with our award-winning pedals and steering wheels, we started from a clean sheet.  

We bought and implemented IP from market-leading vendors, we teamed up with Mige, a well-known motor supplier to sim racing, and after years of development of grounds-up electronics, software, firmware, mechanics, cooperation, design, test, and validation, we are now ready! Please meet the Invicta™ 27Nm, the 18Nm Forte®, and the 12Nm upgradeable La Prima™ wheelbases. 
 
True to the spirit of our other products, at Asetek SimSports®, you will get the same quality, durability, engineering excellence – and most importantly – the same user experience, independent of whether you buy our entry-level La Prima™ series or our top-tier Invicta™ products. Each wheelbase from 12-27Nm features a high-end 22-bit encoder, slipring, and electronics providing an unrivaled driving experience, leaving cogging and lagging in ancient history. All vital parts are of course made of aluminum and steel. 

 
All Asetek SimSports® wheelbases provide smooth, super responsive, and precise feedback to the driver, where you will feel even the smallest bumps and curbs on the road. As an example - each of our wheelbases has a resolution of 0,000085 degrees or roughly 4.000.000 steps in just one revolution of the wheel! In other words, with an Asetek SimSports® wheelbase, you do not have to choose between a true high-fidelity driver experience and a low price. You can get it all! 

As all wheelbases are designed from the ground up, we have been able to develop an extremely compact and flexible form factor accommodating any rig and need. The wheelbase will serve as the central hub in your simulator, where you can connect your Asetek SimSports® pedals, wheels and future peripherals with up to 5 USB-S ports in the rear.  

In its simplest mounting form (default from factory), the bases come with T-nuts pre-installed in bottom groves enabling the motor to slide back and forth in your rig without installing long and expensive steering wheel spacers that ultimately can compromise the life and reliability of your wheelbase. For all wheelbases, we have developed mounting options for any rig ranging from a table clamp solution, bottom mount, side mount and all the way to our integrated front mounts. 
 
Many sim racers love to tinker with and show off their great rig, and therefore we have implemented up to six fully customizable aRGB LED strips - allowing you to match your wheelbase to the rest of your Asetek SimSports® equipment, team colors, or even the color of your fireproof racing underwear! Everything is managed by our central software RaceHub ™, which is also the home for your wheelbase, where you, in addition to all your other Asetek SimSports® equipment, can adjust the base and driving experience exactly to your preference! 

 

All Asetek SimSports® wheelbases feature our own quick release that is as easy to use as shifting gears – literally, as to disconnect the wheel from the base, all you have to do is to press a paddle, and the wheel will be in your hands! Needless to say, we are not relying on wireless signals, batteries that need to be charged or cables that can break or fall off. Everything is included in our easy-to-use no-play quick release.  
 
We do realize that many sim racers have personal preferences for their steering wheel and instead of locking you into a specific eco-system, we have teamed up with a number of leading wheel vendors that will offer native support for the Asetek SimSports® Direct Drive wheelbases, meaning you can rest assured that you will be buying into a flexible and ever-expanding ecosystem.

Warranty:
If you experience any issues with products that are still under warranty, you must first contact us via email to Support@Digital-Motorsports.com. We will endeavour to help fix the problem with you prior to contacting the manufacturer. If we cannot fix the problem, the products must be returned to our warehouse, including details such as the serial number and any supporting pictures or video available.
Digital Motorsports will issue you with a return label and will cover the cost of return.
We will then work with the manufacturer to rectify the issue for you as quickly as possible. Please note, we do not issue replacements for any items under warranty until the manufacturer has repaired or replaced the item and shipped it back to us. If the manufacturer deems the issue not covered under warranty, you will be billed for any inbound and outbound shipping fees due to return the item to you.
We offer a full 2-year manufacturer’s warranty on all products unless otherwise stated. Product warranties are bound to the first purchaser and are not transferable. 

Returns:
Here at Digital-Motorsports.com we like to make things as easy as possible, if you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase, you can return it free of any admin or handling charges. The item must be unused with original packaging and returned to us within 14 days of purchase for an exchange or full refund, minus any outbound or return shipping charges imposed by the courier.

Please note that we do not cover the cost of return postage. If you are within Southern Ireland, you can drop the package to your local Post Office or Simply follow the steps on returnmyshopping.ie. If you are located outside Ireland, we suggest using your national postal service to return the goods. If the goods do not reach us we are not in a position to exchange or refund the item. The customer is responsible for the goods until they have been received by us.
When an item is returned, we will inspect and refund as quickly as possible, usually within 1-2 working days. The length of time refunds take to register on customer’s bank accounts does vary from bank to bank but typically takes 1-3 working days.

Fanatec's entry level CSL DD range is hugely popular and is without question the best value entry level direct drive wheelbase on the market.

Fanatec have priced the unit as competetively as possible and as such they cannot offer discount to their resellers (ie Digital Motorsports) on this product range. In addition to that Fanatec to not allow us to purchase the CSL DD range with exception of the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro Premium Version.

This product is available periodically in limited numbers but we still do not get discount on it from Fanatec. As such we have to price the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro Premium Version above Fanatec's RRP as we have to import the product from Germany.

Brexit

Our website now displays all prices excluding VAT and no longer charges you VAT on orders shipping to mainland UK. 

Customers will however be liable for 20% UK VAT which will be charged to you by HMRC (customs) and collected by our shipping agents (DHL) when the shipment enters the UK. You will be contacted by them to complete the payment, usually by text message. DHL also charge a small handling fee which is 2.5% of the VAT and a minimum of £11.00.

This will be the case when you order from any company based in the EU. If you order from a UK based company they will display vat on their website and charge you the 20% VAT directly on the order. Can I Pre-Order?

A small selection of our products are sometimes available for pre-order. They will be clearly identified on the product details page by a button stating their expected dispatch date.

If a product is displaying as out of stock and there is no message communicating an expected dispatch date then pre-order is not available.

Do you ship to my country?

Yes! We ship worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated dynamically at checkout based on the size and weight of the items in your cart and your address. if you add the product/s you want to your basket then go to the cart and fill out your address and zip code / post code you will then get an accurate shipping price.

When will my order ship?

Orders placed Monday - Friday, before 1pm GMT are normally dispatched the same day, assuming the item you ordered is in stock. During busier periods (eg Black Friday / Christmas) dispatch times can increase.

Orders are picked and dispatched Monday to Friday, not at weekends. As soon as your order ships we will send tracking information to the email on your order.

If you have ordered an item that is on pre-order, the expected dispatch date will be listed in the product title or description.

We offer a collection service for orders placed online from our head office in Dublin Ireland.

Collection is available Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Customs Taxes & Import Duty

Digital Motorsports are based in the EU and our website displays prices either with or without our local VAT rate of 23% depending on your country. (based on your ip address)

For countries in the EU we display prices including 23% VAT.
For countries outside the EU (including the UK) we display prices excluding 23% VAT.

For countries outside the EU you should be aware that you may be liable for import duties. You will need to contact your local authority to get an estimate of how much it will be, as it varies between countries and states. The commodity code or HS code we use for all our products is 9504500000 which is the globally recognised code for computer games and accessories.

Customers from the UK do not pay import duties but pay the usual 20% UK VAT rate to HMRC. To make the process simpler, this is collected by the courier (DHL) before delivery, so you should expect a message from DHL requesting payment of 20% of your order value.

Brexit

the UK are no longer a part of the European Union (EU), and this changes howmainland UK (England, Scotland & Wales)based consumers buy product from EU based stores like ours.

Our website now displays all prices excluding VAT and no longer charges you VAT on orders shipping to mainland UK. 

Customers will however be liable for 20% UK VAT which will be charged to you by HMRC (customs) and collected by our shipping agents (DHL) when the shipment enters the UK. You will be contacted by them to complete the payment, usually by text message. DHL also charge a small handling fee which is 2.5% of the VAT and a minimum of £11.00.

This will be the case when you order from any company based in the EU. If you order from a UK based company they will display vat on their website and charge you the 20% VAT directly on the order. So whether you buy from an EU based store or a UK based store you will be paying more or less the same total price on the product.

If you are a VAT registered business in the UK there is no need to enter your VAT number.

Is XYZ product in stock?

The stock on our website is live so unless there is an out of stock message on the product then we do have it in stock. For items that are out of stock, you can click the green button in the bottom right corner of the screen that says 'EMAIL WHEN AVAILABLE' and enter your email address to be notified when the item becomes available again.

In some instances we may offer pre-order on certain products. If we have a pre-order on a product, lead times/dispatch dates will be clearly indicated in the product title and description

When will the Fanatec CSL DD be available?

Fanatec's entry level CSL DD range is hugely popular and is without question the best value entry level direct drive wheelbase on the market.

Fanatec have priced the unit as competetively as possible and as such they cannot offer discount to their resellers (ie Digital Motorsports) on this product range. In addition to that Fanatec to not allow us to purchase the CSL DD range with exception of the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro Premium Version.

Can I Pre-Order?

A small selection of our products are sometimes available for pre-order. They will be clearly identified on the product details page by a button stating their expected dispatch date.

If a product is displaying as out of stock and there is no message communicating an expected dispatch date then pre-order is not available.

Discounts:

From time to time we run promotions. Promotions are always well advertised and will have a clear start and end date. Please note that we cannot retrospectively apply discounts to orders placed before or after the promotional period.
