Alex Denning Joins Digital Motorsports Ambassador Program

Arguably Ireland's fastest export, Alex Denning is without question one of the most talented drivers to come out of Ireland for quite some time.  We've been watching Alex's progress for that last number of years as he competed in the Digital Motorsports ICCR (Irish Championship Circuit racing)

We are delighted to welcome Alex to the Digital Motorsports Ambassador program and look forward to supporting him on his journey. Without doubt Alex has a bright career ahead of him. He's lightening quick in any car, he has a sharp head on his shoulders and a fantastic network of partners, sponsors and supporters behind him. We're looking forward to working with Alex over the coming weeks and months and are excited to play a part in his developmental journey.

"I am excited to be partnering with Digital Motorsports for 2023. For me, sim racing is a crucial element in my preparation for racing abroad. I have empirically experienced how advanced sim racing software is, which allows me to hit the ground running when I arrive at any UK or European tracks.

Thanks to the top tier sim racing equipment that Digital Motorsports have sorted me with, the feel of the Aston Martin GT4 car that I will be driving in 2023 is incredibly similar to what I feel sitting at home in my sim rig. Whether you are a professional racing driver, a hobby racer or a sim racing enthusiast, Digital Motorsports will be sure to source you with the most suitable equipment to meet your requirements and budget."

Alex won the 2020 ICCR Fiesta ST championship, then headed to the UK to compete in the ultra-competitive Mini JCW Challenge where he enjoyed a stunning debut season, wrapping up the Rookie Cup title with relative ease and grabbing seven overall wins – three more than any other driver. Those seven wins, which all came in the second half of the season, allowed the Graves Motorsport driver to rocket up the championship standings to end the year as runner-up to title winner Sam Weller.

To round off the 2022 season Alex was awarded the Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of The Year Award which will further assist him in his career goals.

"This has been a childhood dream and to make it a reality is simply extraordinary. It is truly honourable to be recognised as the best young racing driver in Ireland this year. The €50,000 cash prize will enable me to further advance my career as I potentially make the move to ADAC GT4 in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in Germany.

“This will provide the ultimate platform to further showcase my talent to GT3 manufacturers on the international stage with the aim of being a manufacturer factory driver by 2025.”.
